The Asian Studies Circle met  August 31, 2011 for a lively evening of discussion and inquiry with Serinity Young, Professor of Asian Studies at Queens College and adjunct faculty at Eugene Lang College, The New School. Professor Young reviewed plans for an undergraduate course  in the Religious Studies Program at Eugene Lang College, based on the Rubin Museum’s exhibition, Pilgrimage & Faith: Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam. While visiting the galleries, Professor. Young provided examples of teaching methods employed with students to help them engage deeply with the art, ideas, and rituals represented in the exhibition.
