This month we’re exploring mountains, and each week we’ll be adding to our collaborative mountain collage.
June 1, 2011 | Preparing for our journey
First, we practiced letter identification and cutting paper to make the title: Up in the Mountains.
Then we pasted the letters to the collaborative mural.
After reading a story, All the Way to Lhasa: A Tale from Tibet by Barbara Helen Berger, and climbing our mountainous staircase to see some clouds, we returned to the studio to paint our background.

Next week, we’ll be making mountains to add to our cloudy sky.
